Elaine McArthur, of the U.S. EEOC, will provide attendees with an update on recent developments and guidance from the EEOC.
Elaine McArthur is the Outreach and Training Manager for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the areas served by the Miami District Office, which are the state of Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The EEOC is the agency responsible for enforcing the numerous federal laws which prohibit employment discrimination in the workplace. Ms. McArthur is responsible for providing public education, technical assistance and outreach to the various communities served by the EEOC, and is the District’s small business liaison and media contact.
Ms. McArthur has spent 32 years in federal government service. She found her niche with the EEOC in 1993, and worked 16 years as an Investigator in the Tampa Field Office. Ms. McArthur previously worked for the U.S. Department of the Air Force and the Panama Canal Commission. She is a graduate of The Florida State University.
