Please join us for our July lunch meeting!
Every day each of us negotiates for something. It can be where to go for dinner, whether to let your teenager go out for the evening with the family car, or it can be a salary for a new job, or a revision to a union employment contract. When we negotiate most of us expect some give and take, however many factors can turn a negotiation into a negative experience for all sides. We will discuss the nature of negotiation, strategy and tactics of distributive and integrative negotiation. We’ll look at how to plan for successful negotiation, keeping in mind ethics, emotion, and perception. We’ll talk about communication and its importance in negotiation. Together we will develop a listing of the best practices in negotiation.
